About DistrictMUN

The District of Columbia Model United Nations (DistrictMUN) is the newest Model UN conference for middle school students on the circuit. DistrictMUN was born out of NAIMUN, the oldest UN simulation for high school students in North America and the premier student-run Model United Nations conference in the world. We are confident that DistrictMUN will share the same level of rigor and unparalleled success that our sister conference NAIMUN has. This conference was created to serve the large middle school MUN community and to prepare them for public speaking, introduce them to debate, and educate about international affairs in an engaging and fun manner. DistrictMUN is presented by the Georgetown International Relations Association, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, in partnership with the International Relations Club of Georgetown University.

Why Sponsor DistrictMUN?

DistrictMUN seeks corporate partnerships in order to enhance the experience for all participants, by providing supplemental out-of-committee exposure to international relations and the professional world. Middle school is a formative time for students, and exposure to key international issues and diverse cultures can have a lasting impression on our delegates and produce a generation of globally-minded world citizens.

DistrictMUN plans, with the generous support of its sponsors, to expand its educational goals while simultaneously helping you expand your consumer base. Businesses on the East Coast, along with companies that seek curious and driven middle school students, will easily find their target audience at DistrictMUN.

DistrictMUN’s diverse and dedicated attendees provide sponsors with a unique platform to promote a brand or product. DistrictMUN brings delegates from all over the East Coast at a time when many are unable to have meaningful social interactions, spending a day together talking not only about international issues, but also about their lives. Where else can a sponsor find such an attentive, captive audience? Some of the many opportunities your company or organization can enjoy at this year’s conference are:

  • Access to an audience of approximately 100+ middle school students, 25 faculty advisors and Georgetown University staffers;

  • Repeat exposure to your brand and message;

  • A wide array of tax-deductable marketing offerings and the ability to reach our audience across platforms. We provide sponsorship opportunities including print and digital advertisements, meal sponsorship, in-person tabling, and naming opportunities for conference-wide gatherings;

  • A fully flexible sponsorship package catered to your individual needs.
