When and where will DistrictMUN VI take place?

DistrictMUN VI will take place on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29, 2026. The conference will be held on the campus of Georgetown University.

How many committee sessions will DistrictMUN VI have?

DistrictMUN VI will have three committee sessions. The first session will be on Saturday morning, the second on Saturday afternoon, and the third on Sunday morning. 

Will DistrictMUN provide lunch?

On Saturday (the full day), DistrictMUN VI will provide a pizza lunch for delegates and advisors. Advisors will also receive free coffee. On Sunday, DistrictMUN VI will provide bagels and coffee to advisors. 

How many committees will be at DistrictMUN VI?

DistrictMUN VI will offer ten different committees, with five General Assembly-style committees and five crisis committees. This represents an increase from the eight committees offered last year. 

Are overnight accommodations available?

Overnight accommodations for delegates or advisors are not available through the conference. We are happy to provide resources for finding local accommodations or transportation options upon request.

What are the registration timelines?

Early registration opens on November 10th and ends on December 8th, 2025. Regular registration will open on December 9th and close on February 9th, 2026. Late registration will open on February 10th, 2026, and continue until March 20th, 2026. 

How much does it cost to attend DistrictMUN VI?

Teams registering during early registration will be eligible for a discounted price of $45 per delegate. Teams registering during regular registration will be charged $55 per delegate. Teams registering during late registration will be charged $65 per delegate. All registration periods include a delegation fee of $80 and an advisor fee of $10 per advisor. 

Does DistrictMUN VI offer financial aid?

DistrictMUN VI offers a limited amount of financial aid for schools and students with demonstrated need. Please reach out to Secretary-General Theodora Lyne (t.lyne@modelun.org) ASAP if you are interested in receiving financial aid.

Who is eligible to attend DistrictMUN VI?

DistrictMUN is a conference for middle school students. If your team includes 5th-grade students, please reach out to us before registering! Prior Model UN experience is not necessary to attend DistrictMUN VI, and every committee will offer educational resources for delegates before and during the conference. 

Conference Rules

Does DistrictMUN VI require position papers?

Yes, DistrictMUN VI requires position papers to be eligible for awards. Position papers can be submitted online or in person — more information will be provided closer to the conference. 

Does DistrictMUN have a dress code?

Delegates should dress in professional Western Business Attire (WBA) on both days. If your delegates have any issues acquiring WBA, please contact Secretary-General Theodora Lyne (t.lyne@modelun.org) — we want to ensure the conference remains accessible for all delegates, regardless of their background. 

Is technology allowed at DistrictMUN?

Technology is not permitted in committee. Delegates will be provided with notepads and pens to use during the committee upon arriving at the conference. If your delegate would like to request accommodations for technology use, please contact Secretary-General Theodora Lyne (t.lyne@modelun.org).
