A League of Their Own: the Paris Peace Conference, 1919

APPROXIMATE COMMITTEE SIZE: 40-60 delegates

The Great War has drawn to a close, leaving the world fractured and searching for a new path toward lasting peace. The victorious Allied nations have gathered in Paris, each facing its own urgent challenges: devastated economies, contested borders, internal political disputes, and the immense task of rebuilding infrastructure and lives. Alongside their varying domestic troubles, the leaders of allied nations share one goal of determining how the international community should ensure stability and cooperation in the years ahead.

COMMITTEE DETAILS

In this committee, delegates will explore the possibility of creating a new organization and regulations dedicated to maintaining peace through dialogue and collective security. Delegates must consider how to balance national interests with the shared responsibility of global order. Through negotiation and collaboration, delegates will determine how to create a lasting framework for peace, lest they risk further division in the global community.
